Animation has come a long way since its origin in 1892 when French inventor Charles Emile Reynaud introduced the world to animated cartoons.

From hand-drawn sketches to today’s awe-inspiring digital creations, the art form has undergone significant transformations.

Through collaborative efforts, local animated films such as The Crossroads, Asantewaa, Abrefi Kɔtɔ, and The Guardians have gained traction, increasing the audience for homegrown animations.
