In a grand ceremony on Monday, Donald Trump took the oath of office for the second time, officially becoming the 47th president of the United States.

The inauguration day was filled with pomp and circumstance, but as with any high-profile event, there were plenty of unexpected moments that caught the attention of the onlookers.

One of the highlights of the day was country singer Carrie Underwood’s performance of America the Beautiful. Despite facing criticism for her decision to perform at the ceremony, Underwood delivered a patriotic rendition of the song.

However, her performance hit a snag when a technical malfunction interrupted the backing music. Undeterred, Underwood turned to the crowd for help and together they sang a cappella version of the song, ending with applause.

Another memorable moment was the awkward encounter between Donald and Melania Trump. As the president greeted his allies on stage, he attempted to kiss his wife, but her wide-brimmed hat made it difficult for him to get close. The couple ended up settling for an air kiss instead.

The inauguration also saw a group of prominent figures from the tech industry in attendance. Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos, Sundar Pichai, Tim Cook, Elon Musk, and Sam Altman were among those who joined Trump for the event. Their presence highlighted the influence of big tech in the political landscape.

In a more lighthearted moment, Senator John Fetterman stole the show with his unique outfit choice – an oversized hoodie, loose athletic shorts, and sneakers. Fetterman, known for his laid-back style, explained that he dressed for comfort and found it challenging to find formal attire that fit his frame.
