Tuesday January 7, 2025 will be remembered as a historic day in Ghana, as the country witnessed the inauguration of its first female Vice President, Professor Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang.

The ceremony was a colorful and impressive event at the Black Stars Square, with accolades going to Stan Dogbe for his stellar production.

As a fashion enthusiast, I couldn’t help but notice the outfits and looks of the attendees. Some stood out for their style and elegance, while others missed the mark.

Samira Bawumia, known for her trendsetting fashion sense, surprised many with a less-than-impressive outfit. However, Hon Zita Benson and Hon. Zanetor Rawlings were impressed with their kente ensembles.

Other notable mentions include Mrs. Adepa Gyekye, Ms. Charlene, Felicity Nelson, Hon. Benita Okity Duah, and Hon. Dorcas Affo-Toffey, who all received praise for their fashion choices. The VEEP’s outfit received mixed reviews, with some suggesting small adjustments could have enhanced the look.

The event also saw Mrs. Awuku, Lady Helga, Mrs. Dumelo, and Ms. Olympio making noteworthy fashion statements. However, AJ Sarpong’s outfit missed the mark according to some observers.

Despite varying opinions on the outfits, one thing is clear – the inauguration highlighted the rich tradition of Ghanaian fashion and the beauty of kente cloth.
