The debate over whether Members of Parliament (MPs) should be allowed to use sirens on their vehicles for transportation purposes continues to spark controversy.
One MP, John Dumelo, has taken a firm stance against the use of sirens, stating that he does not believe they are necessary for his work.
In a video that has been widely circulated, Mr Dumelo expressed his personal opinion on the matter, noting that while sirens may help facilitate movement, he does not see the need for them in his role as an MP.
He cited a colleague, Kwame Obeng Asare, also known as A Plus, who had advocated for MPs’ use of sirens.
While some MPs argue that sirens enhance efficiency in carrying out their duties, others, like Mr Dumelo, believe that they are unnecessary and disruptive.
The issue has been a long-standing debate among MPs, with differing opinions on whether the use of sirens is justified.
Despite the ongoing controversy, Mr Dumelo remains steadfast in his opposition to the use of sirens by MPs.
