Despite some concerns expressed by industry stakeholders and critics about a perceived slowdown in film production, research conducted by Showbiz A-Z reveals that Ghanaian movie producers are actually releasing a significant number of films.
According to our findings from the National Film Authority (NFA), a total of thirty-eight (38) Ghanaian films were submitted for classification in 2024.
However, our independent research team discovered that there were additional movies released in the same year that were not included in the NFA’s list.
In total, our radar captured a whopping forty-two (42) movies that were released in 2024, showcasing the continued creativity and output of Ghana’s film industry.
The diversity and quality of these films demonstrate that despite any perceived lull, Ghanaian filmmakers are still actively creating content for audiences to enjoy.
