Ghanaian rapper Medikal has shown solidarity with Fameye following a recent incident involving a DJ at a London event.
A video of Fameye reprimanding a DJ for playing the wrong songs during his performance has sparked discussions in the media.
During an interview on Daybreak Hitz with Andy Dosty, Medikal expressed his support for Fameye, stating that he would also be upset if he were in the same situation.
“I think he was right because I’ll be vexed if I’m performing and the DJ messes up,” Medikal commented.
Medikal’s remarks shed light on the challenges and frustrations that artists face when they do not perform with their own DJs, leading to technical errors that can overshadow their performances.
He also emphasized the importance of proper event organization and the need for rehearsals with DJs to ensure a flawless performance.
On the other hand, Fameye’s management released a statement condemning the incident as “unprofessional.”
They revealed that they had made efforts to bring Fameye’s official DJ from Ghana or Belgium to guarantee a memorable performance for his fans. However, they were unable to reach an agreement with the event organizers, who insisted on using a different DJ for Fameye’s session.
The management team expressed disappointment with the lack of professionalism displayed and the disruption it caused to what should have been a memorable experience for everyone present.
