The management team of Ghanaian musician Fameye has released a statement in response to a viral video that has been making rounds on social media.
The video captured the artiste expressing his frustration with a DJ during a performance for not playing the right songs.
The incident has sparked discussions within the entertainment industry, with some criticizing Fameye for his on-stage comments, while others are pointing fingers at the event organizers for not allowing Fameye to use his personal DJ.
In their official statement, Fameye’s management addressed the situation as “unprofessional.”
They emphasized that while technical issues and miscommunications can happen during live performances, the level of unprofessionalism displayed in this case was unacceptable and disrespectful to both Fameye and his loyal fans.
The management team revealed that they had made several attempts to bring either Fameye’s official DJ from Ghana or Belgium to ensure a memorable performance for his fans.
However, they could not reach an agreement with the event organizers, who insisted on using a DJ they had already booked for the session.
“This approach does not align with the standard practices of the Fameye brand. However, out of respect for the fans, we chose to work with the arrangements provided.
Unfortunately, this decision had a significant impact on Fameye’s ability to deliver the outstanding performance we had promised his fans,” the statement read.
They concluded by urging event organizers and their teams to uphold the highest standards of professionalism to ensure that every artiste and fan is treated with respect and dignity.
