Ghanaian actor and politician Prince David Osei has taken a stand against his critics, declaring that he will not back down in defending himself after showing support for his political party in the recent elections.
During an interview on Daybreak Hitz with Andy Dosty, Prince David Osei revealed that he had faced a barrage of attacks on social media following a controversial post made by his verified X account about President-Elect John Dramani Mahama.
“I’m not afraid of anybody,” Prince David Osei boldly stated, emphasizing the importance of respecting each other’s opinions and rights of association in a democratic society.
The actor further expressed his determination to confront any attacks and defend his political views, asserting that everyone is entitled to their own political affiliations.
The backlash Prince David Osei faced stemmed from a contentious tweet made by his cousins and friends, labeling President-Elect John Dramani Mahama as a “drunkard.”
Despite this, Prince David Osei clarified that he did not personally make the derogatory comments about the incoming President.
In light of the misunderstanding, Prince David Osei apologized to President-Elect John Dramani Mahama and emphasized that he had only posted a congratulatory message after the elections.
He attributed the offensive posts to his cousins and friends responding to provocations from X users who were attacking him.
