A shocking revelation has come to light in a lawsuit against Sean “Diddy” Combs, as a woman has amended her allegations to include Jay-Z as well.
The lawsuit, initially filed against Combs in October, now names Shawn Carter, better known as Jay-Z, as a defendant in the civil case.
This development marks the first time a celebrity has been accused of sexual assault in connection to Combs.
The woman, referred to as Jane Doe, claims that she was only 13 years old when the alleged assault took place at an after-party following the Video Music Awards in 2000. After feeling woozy from a drink, she says she was raped first by Carter and then by Combs before managing to escape.
In response to the allegations, Carter has vehemently denied the claims, calling them “heinous” and urging for criminal charges to be filed. On the other hand, Combs is facing charges of sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy, to which he has pleaded not guilty.
The Doe’s attorneys have reached out to Carter for mediation, but according to the lawsuit, Carter’s response was to file a lawsuit and engage in harassment and intimidation tactics to prevent the woman from naming him in the case. Despite these efforts, the woman proceeded to amend the lawsuit.
The lawsuit has garnered significant attention since it was first reported by NBC. Jay-Z’s wife, Beyoncé Knowles, has also been approached for comment on the matter.
