Nine months after their highly publicized studio session, Safo Newman has disclosed that there was no music collaboration with Sarkodie.
The two artists met at Sarkodie’s studio in February 2024, following Safo Newman’s desire to personally thank the renowned rapper for his recognition.
Safo Newman expressed his gratitude towards Sarkodie for acknowledging his talent and showing interest in working with him.
Despite rumors circulating about a potential hit song in the making, Safo Newman confirmed in a recent interview on Hitz FM that no music project was ever recorded during their meeting. He emphasized that their interaction was purely conversational, with no music production involved.
When questioned about whether his denial was to respect Sarkodie’s preference for keeping collaborations confidential until official announcements, Safo Newman reiterated that there is no unreleased project awaiting release.
Despite the disappointment, the ‘Akokoa’ hitmaker remains hopeful that Sarkodie will bless him with a verse in the future.
