Renowned Ghanaian broadcaster Kofi Okyere-Darko, popularly known as KOD, is gearing up to release his own music album before he reaches the age of 50.
The media personality, who has always had a keen interest in music, shared this exciting news during an interview on Joy Prime’s Changes show.
KOD expressed his passion for music and revealed that he has played a significant role in nurturing and developing talented individuals who are making waves in the music industry today.
Despite his love for music, he believes that his singing voice is not up to par, which has prevented him from creating his own music in the past.
However, music producer Kwame Yeboah encouraged KOD to produce an album before he turns 50, a challenge that he has accepted wholeheartedly.
With four years left until his milestone birthday, KOD is determined to fulfill this goal and is currently working with Kwame Yeboah on the production of the album.
The broadcaster shared that the album will showcase a wide range of music genres in Ghana, including highlife and gospel.
He emphasized the importance of exploring different genres as a musician to reach greater heights in the industry.
KOD believes that diversity and versatility in music are key aspects that have contributed to the success of artists like Samini, King Promise, and Sarkodie.
