The Ghana Trade Fair Convention and Exhibition Centre is set to revolutionize the creative arts industry in Ghana, according to Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

The project, which will have a seating capacity of 20,000 and a 5,000-square-metre pre-event lobby, is expected to be completed within eight months.

During a recent tour of the construction site, Dr. Bawumia emphasized the importance of the centre in addressing the longstanding challenge of inadequate event seating capacities in the country.

He believes that the new facility will not only benefit the creative arts sector but also enhance Ghana’s event-hosting capabilities.

Dr. Bawumia stated, “It is a very much-needed project because we believe that some of the key pillars for the growth of this economy lie in Tourism and the Creative Arts.”

He pointed out that the current limited seating capacities often lead to higher prices for events, hindering the industry’s ability to generate revenue and profits.

The completion of the Ghana Trade Fair Convention and Exhibition Centre is expected to open up new opportunities for the Creative Arts and Tourism sectors. The CEO of the Ghana Trade Fair Company Limited, Dr. Agnes Adu, confirmed that the center is on track to be completed within six to eight months.

With a world-class facility like this, Ghana is poised to attract more conferences, exhibitions, and other events, boosting the overall growth of the creative arts industry.

The completion of the project will not only benefit the industry but also position Ghana as a key player in the global events space.
