Ghanaian musician Kuami Eugene has recently shared some insights into his record label, Rockstar Records.
In an interview on Joy FM’s Showbiz A-Z, he mentioned that while he now has his own label, he is currently focused on managing the affairs of the Kuami Eugene brand.
Kuami Eugene expressed that handling his own music career has been a challenge, and he believes that it is not the right time to bring other artists on board.
He emphasized the need to solidify his position in the industry before considering signing other acts.
He also mentioned that before he expands his label to include other artists, he wants to achieve certain milestones.
This includes filling larger auditoriums and organizing successful events to establish himself further in the music industry.
Despite receiving requests from some of his colleagues to sign them onto his label, Kuami Eugene has declined, stating that he is focused on his own growth as an artist for now.
Kuami Eugene highlighted that Richie of Lynx Entertainment has supported his decision to establish Rockstar Records.
He aims to challenge the common narrative of artists experiencing a decline in their careers after parting ways with their managements or record labels.
In the meantime, Kuami Eugene has released a peace song featuring several artists, as well as two other songs titled “Problem” and “Show Down.” Stay tuned for more updates on Kuami Eugene and Rockstar Records.
