Iconic Nigerian singer Peter Okoye has recently responded to allegations made by his twin brother Paul regarding the ownership of a new song titled “Winning.”

Peter Okoye took to social media to share a detailed account of the song’s creation, shedding light on his role and collaboration with others, including Ghanaian producer Vampire and songwriter Calypso.

In his statement, Peter questioned his brother Paul’s claims, emphasizing their agreed-upon creative process and pointing out instances where Paul removed his vocals from joint songs.

The singer also addressed his temporary break from music, explaining that he took time off to recharge before making a comeback with the song “Winning.”

Peter emphasized the importance of teamwork in his creative process, crediting those who have contributed to his projects.

He mentioned reaching out to the Ghanaian producer Vampire and involving his twin brother and their team in the decision-making process before collaborating on the song.

According to Peter, the idea for “Winning” originated from one of Vampire’s beats, which he then developed with the help of his co-producer Goldswarm and songwriter Calypso. He detailed the collaborative effort that went into creating the song and shared his disappointment over the current situation.

The singer expressed frustration over the online backlash and labeling he has faced since the song’s release, addressing the challenges he has encountered in his musical journey.
