The Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) is gearing up to celebrate its 50th anniversary in March 2025.
The Director of Communications and Special Projects, Ahuma Bosco Ocansey, popularly known as Daddy Bosco, has emphasized that the union is inclusive of everyone involved in the music value chain.
During the launch event held at the Accra Tourism Information Centre on Thursday, November 7, 2024, Daddy Bosco highlighted that MUSIGA welcomes not only musicians but also managers, songwriters, publicists, and anyone else contributing to the music industry.
He emphasized that collaboration with various stakeholders is crucial for the growth and success of the music sector.
Daddy Bosco clarified that membership is open to individuals involved in music production, such as managers and publicists, as well as music lovers who wish to support the industry as patrons or associates.
He cited an example of Reagan, who transitioned from managing the late Terry Bonchaka to becoming a music publicist, as someone eligible for MUSIGA membership.
The upcoming 50th-anniversary celebration presents an opportunity for stakeholders in the music industry to come together, network, and celebrate the achievements of MUSIGA over the past five decades.
