Beyonce made a rare political appearance at a presidential campaign rally in Texas, where she showed her support for US Vice President Kamala Harris.

While she did not perform at the rally as she did in 2016 for Hillary Clinton, Beyonce spoke passionately about the importance of women’s rights and the need for change.

“I’m not here as a celebrity, I’m not here as a politician. I’m here as a mother,” Beyonce told the crowd in Houston, Texas, as she endorsed Kamala Harris.

She emphasized the need for a world where women have the freedom to control their bodies and where there are no limitations for future generations.

Accompanied by her Destiny’s Child bandmate Kelly Rowland, Beyonce introduced Kamala Harris as the “next president of the United States.”

The rally, which took place in Beyonce’s hometown, highlighted the growing medical consequences of Texas’s strict abortion ban.

The state’s restrictive abortion laws have led to an increase in infant mortality rates and maternal mortality, with harmful pregnancies not explicitly considered exceptions.

Harris was joined at the rally by women who have nearly died from pregnancy complications, shedding light on the challenges women face in accessing proper medical care.

In her address, Kamala Harris warned voters about the potential impacts of a national abortion ban proposed by Republican candidate Donald Trump.

Despite Trump’s inconsistent stance on abortion and reproductive rights, Harris urged voters to consider the broader implications of his policies.

The rally served as a platform for both Beyonce and Kamala Harris to advocate for women’s rights and reproductive freedom.
