Ghanaian music sensation Stonebwoy has just dropped his highly anticipated sixth studio album, UP & RUNNIN6.
The album, which is available in stores now, is a collaboration between Burniton Music Group (BMG) and Warner Music Group’s ADA Worldwide.
UP & RUNNIN6 features a stellar lineup of tracks that have already taken the global music scene by storm.
Songs like “JEJEREJE,” featuring Amsterdam’s Ginton, “EKELEBE,” featuring Nigerian rap star ODUMODUBLVCK, and “PRAY FOR ME,” featuring Grammy-winning rapper Wyclef Jean, have all received millions of streams and enjoyed heavy rotation on radio stations worldwide.
The album also boasts a new track and video for “MEMORIES,” featuring Ir Sais, as well as guest appearances from industry heavyweights like Duncan Mighty, Blvk H3ro, Kaylan Arnold, Chi Ching Ching, Amaria BB, Spice, Jahmiel, 10Tikkand Larruso.
In a recent interview, Stonebwoy discussed his approach to selecting collaborators for the album, stating, “I’m just paying attention to an inner quest of moving in the UP & RUNNIN6 direction, without necessarily looking at the technicalities.
I am moving with a vibrational understanding, but I’m just realizing now what meaning I’m making on a technical level.”
UP & RUNNIN6 marks a return to Stonebwoy’s musical roots after a period of sonic exploration. The album showcases his signature Afro-Caribbean sound, blending elements of Afrobeat, Dancehall, Reggae, Highlife, Amapiano, and R&B across 13 tracks.
Themes of introspection, romance, spirituality, and empowerment are explored in songs like “PSALM 23,” “BETTA TIN,” “SHINE,” and “LOVELY WEATHER.”
The album also sees Stonebwoy collaborating with a talented roster of producers, including Samsney, Bijan Amir, Jon P, Dave Nunes, TK Kayembe & Blake, Sammy Soso, Ginton, Shyne, Streetbeatz, TK Kayembe, Young Lee, Mix Master Garzy, and Nana Rouges.
