Ghanaian songstress Sefa, whose real name is Sefadzi Abena Amesu, has officially parted ways with the Black Avenue Muzik label owned by musician and businessman D-Black.
The announcement was made during an interview with Accra 100.5 FM on Thursday, October 24, 2024.
Sefa cited the lack of support for her song “Vibration” as one of the reasons for leaving the record label. She expressed her disappointment at the label not giving the song the necessary promotion.
The talented artiste also mentioned that her contract with Black Avenue Muzik had ended, and there were some business misunderstandings that led to her decision to part ways with the label.
Having been with D-Black’s record label for about seven years, Sefa produced hit songs such as “Fever,” “E Choke,” “Shuga,” “Player,” and “Vibration.” In 2022, she won the Afrobeats Song of the Year award at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards with her song “E Choke.”
Despite leaving Black Avenue Muzik, Sefa is not slowing down in her music career. She is currently pursuing an independent path and has released a new song titled “All Over” featuring Camidoh.
