Ghanaian rapper, singer, and songwriter Kofi Kinaata was overjoyed after his song was mentioned by the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

The King highlighted Kofi’s song ‘Susuka’ during a speech at a banquet for members of the Ghana Bar Association in Kumasi.

Otumfuo used the song to illustrate Ghana’s stable democracy and the commendable work of its judiciary, which are admired across the continent despite challenges.

He emphasized that many countries aspire to be like Ghana and urged citizens to appreciate the nation’s progress.

Upon hearing the news, Kofi Kinaata took to his social media platforms to express gratitude for the King’s recognition.

He shared videos of himself acknowledging the honor and watching Otumfuo’s speech on a laptop. Kofi even humorously mentioned that he had stopped writing music to focus on watching speeches instead.

The talented musician also noted the positive impact of Otumfuo’s mention on his brand, stating that it has increased his streams, views, and social media engagement.

Kofi expressed his appreciation by saying, “Ɔpemsoɔ Medaase. Piaaawww!!”
