Popular Nigerian actress and producer Funke Akindele recently took to social media to warn her fans about a scammer using her name and image to deceive people on WhatsApp.
The scammer, identified as Prosper Paul, has been soliciting money from unsuspecting victims, promising to pay it back the next day.
Funke Akindele shared screenshots of the messages sent by the scammer on her X account and Instagram story, urging her followers to stay alert and not fall for the fraudulent scheme.
In a post, she wrote, “Pls beware!!! This is not from me!! Prosper!!! E no go prosper for you o!!! Ole!!!”
This unfortunate incident occurred shortly after the actress celebrated her birthday, receiving an outpouring of love and well-wishes from colleagues and fans.
