Seasoned legal expert and Director-General of the Police Professional Standards Bureau (PPSB), DCOP Lydia Donkor has taken on the important position of Chairperson of the Security Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
With over 24 years of experience as a legal practitioner, DCOP Lydia Donkor has a wealth of knowledge and expertise that she brings to this esteemed role.
Her journey began with a remarkable entrance into the Ghana Police Service, where she combined her legal acumen with her law enforcement experience. She holds a master’s degree in law from the prestigious University of Leeds and a qualifying degree from the esteemed Ghana School of Law.
DCOP Lydia Donkor’s extensive experience in crowd control and public safety positions her well to lead the agenda of ensuring the safety and security of spectators, players, and officials at match venues.
Joining her as Vice Chairman of the Committee is FIFA and CAF Safety and Security officer Nick Owusu (Capt. Retd.), with ten years of experience in safety and security issues covering games for the Confederation of African Football and FIFA.
Other Members of the Committee include Emmanuel Osei, Felix Bewu, and Ebo Hagan.
