Ghanaian artist Kuami Eugene shared a harrowing experience of a near-fatal car accident he encountered on Sunday, March 17, 2024, in CP near the DSTV office in Accra.
In an exclusive interview with Adinkra Multimedia NY, Eugene detailed the incident that unfolded.
After returning to Ghana, Eugene welcomed an underground artist to his Rockstar Made It studio in Achimota for a recording session, despite residing in East Legon Hills.
As the recording session concluded, all had departed except for one gentleman who needed assistance in getting home. Eugene offered to drop him off at Lapaz to ease his commute.
However, taking an unfamiliar route and being taken aback by the bright lights from street cameras along the Achimota stretch, Eugene found himself in an unfortunate accident while attempting a U-turn to join the main road.
The bright lights, meant for capturing vehicles on that route, contributed to the unexpected turn of events.
The incident serves as a reminder of the unforeseen dangers that can arise on the road, even in familiar areas.
Kuami Eugene’s quick thinking and willingness to assist a fellow artist ultimately led to a fortunate escape from what could have been a tragic event.
