Michael Symon is a household name in the culinary world, known for his delicious recipes and successful restaurants. But behind the scenes, he has a supportive partner who has been by his side through it all – his wife, Liz Sanderson Symon.

The couple first met in the early 1990s while working at a restaurant called Players in Cleveland, Ohio. Liz managed the front of the house while Michael worked in the kitchen.

According to Michael, he was immediately impressed by Liz’s presence and beauty. What started as a friendship soon blossomed into something more, despite their initial attempts to keep it platonic.

After two years of dating, Michael popped the question, and the couple tied the knot on November 1, 1998. This is Michael’s second marriage, but he has described it as the first time he has truly been able to breathe. Liz has been by his side through all of his restaurant endeavors, collaborating with him on nearly all of his projects.

While the couple does not have any children of their own, Liz has a son named Kyle from her previous marriage. Kyle, who was 11 years old when Michael and Liz got married, now has two children of his own and has followed in his stepfather’s footsteps by opening a gourmet coffee and donut shop.

Michael, who was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1969, has built an impressive culinary empire over the years. His net worth is estimated to be around $6 million, thanks to his successful restaurants, television shows, cookbooks, product lines, and endorsements.

He has also been open about his health struggles, being diagnosed with discoid lupus and rheumatoid arthritis in 2019, which inspired his Fix It with Food series.
