Joshua Wade, the notorious serial killer from Alaska, has passed away at the age of 44 while serving a 99-year sentence in an Indiana prison.
Wade was convicted of the 2007 carjacking and murder of his neighbor, 52-year-old nurse Mindy Schloss. He also confessed to the 2000 murder of Della Brown and three additional unsolved murders as part of a plea agreement.
Wade’s crimes date back to when he was just 14 years old, with his first known victim being 38-year-old John Michael Martin in 1994. He went on to confess to the 1999 murder of Henry Ongtowasruk, who suffered from an undisclosed mental illness.
In 2000, he killed Della Brown and an unidentified man on the same night. Wade was acquitted of sexual assault and murder charges in relation to Brown’s murder but was convicted of witness tampering.
Joshua Wade’s death in prison has brought an end to the reign of terror he unleashed on Alaska, claiming the lives of at least five victims.
Despite his passing, the families of his victims can find solace in knowing that he will never have the opportunity to harm anyone else.
