Cameron Brink is quickly becoming a household name in the WNBA, winning over the hearts of basketball fans everywhere.

However, the biggest fans cheering her on from the sidelines are none other than her parents, Michelle Bain-Brink and Greg Brink.

Cameron proudly shared during a press conference at the 2024 WNBA Draft that her mom had a hand in designing signature shoes for basketball legends like Dawn Staley and Tamika Catchings.

Greg, on the other hand, climbed the ranks at Nike, serving as the CFO of Nike North America for three years before taking on the role of CEO of Nike EMEA in The Netherlands. His impressive career at Nike eventually led him to retirement, marking the end of a successful chapter in his professional life.

In addition to having supportive parents who paved the way in the basketball and sports industry, Cameron also has a special connection to NBA star Stephen Curry.

It turns out that Curry’s parents, Dell and Sonya Curry, are Cameron’s godparents, which makes the two athletes godsiblings.

The bond between the families goes way back to their college days, where Michelle was roommates with Sonya at Virginia Tech, and their fathers were teammates on the basketball team.

Growing up, Cameron and Stephen often spent summers together and formed a close relationship. Cameron credits Curry for teaching her to find joy in everything she does, emphasizing the privilege of pursuing a career in professional basketball.
