Renowned Ghanaian gospel musician, Philipa Baafi, has taken a moment to remember the late music producer, George Forest, who passed away in 2016.

During an interview on Joy FM’s Showbiz A-Z with Kwame Dadzie, Philipa fondly recalled the memorable moments she shared with George while collaborating on music projects like ‘Go High.’

Expressing her deep sorrow over his passing, Philipa stated, “Seriously I was hurt when he passed. It really saddens me because he was someone who really understood music. So I miss him. Seriously, I miss him.”

George Yaw Owusu, popularly known as George Forest, died at the age of 44 at the Komfo Anokye Hospital where he was admitted after being referred from a private facility. Throughout his career, George worked with numerous musicians, including Nana Acheampong, Nana Aboagye Da Costa, Obaapa Christy, Gifty Osei, Ohemaa Mercy, Diana Asamoah, and many more.

In the meantime, Philipa Baafi has released her latest single titled ‘Eda Ho Pefee.’ The song is a heartfelt expression of gratitude towards God for His presence and blessings in her life. Drawing inspiration from her personal journey of faith and resilience, Philipa aims to inspire others to appreciate the blessings around them, even in the face of challenges.

‘Eda Ho Pefee’ serves as a reminder that there is always a reason to be thankful, regardless of the circumstances. Through her uplifting vocals and poignant lyrics, Philipa conveys a message of hope, encouraging listeners to embrace gratitude as a way of life.
