Drew, born on July 12, 1990, in San Jose California, showcased his talents early in his career by leading his high school basketball team to championships. His impressive performance continued in NCAA, where he played for UCLA and New Mexico, averaging 13.7 points, 11 rebounds, and 1.2 assists during his senior campaign.

The Californian native received numerous accolades in college basketball, including the first-team All-MWC honors and the MWV tournament MVP award.

After going undrafted in 2012, Drew explored his basketball opportunities in Europe following a short stint with the Dallas Mavericks summer league team. He later played for Partizan Belgrade and Dinamo Sassari in Italy before returning to Europe to sign for a French team, where he received multiple accolades.

In the NBA, Drew had summer league experiences with various teams before finally making his debut for the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2014-15 season. Despite being waived and re-signed by the team, he managed to play nine games before being waived again.
