Renowned actor and musician, Lilwin, known in private life as Kwadwo Nkansah, has taken the decision to postpone the premiere of his movie, “A Country Called Ghana,” in Sunyani.
This decision comes in the wake of a tragic accident involving Lilwin and his team, which resulted in the unfortunate death of a 3-year-old boy named Richard Tawiah Amponsah.
The incident occurred as Lilwin and his team were preparing for the movie premiere in Kumasi on May 25, 2024. The public has expressed outrage over the tragic death of the young boy, with many believing that the accident could have been avoided if Lilwin had followed traffic regulations and exercised caution on the road.
In a statement shared on his Instagram page, Lilwin expressed his deep regret over the incident and announced the postponement of the movie premiere out of respect for the deceased child. He assured the public that a new date for the premiere in Sunyani would be communicated in due course.
Lilwin also used the opportunity to apologize for any insensitivity in their earlier statement and urged his fans to keep him, his manager, and his security detail in their prayers as they recover at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
The entertainment industry and fans of Lilwin are rallying behind the actor/musician during this difficult time, offering support and well-wishes for a speedy recovery for all those involved in the accident.
