A member of actor Kwadwo Nkansah’s (Lil Win) team, Zola, has provided insight into the recent accident that occurred in the Ashanti Region over the weekend. The accident took place in Amakom and was a result of Lil Win’s attempt to navigate through a crowd that had surrounded his car at a traffic intersection.
Zola explained that when the traffic light turned green, Lil Win accelerated and swerved to avoid hitting a tricycle, also known as an ‘Aboboyaa’, which led to a collision with another vehicle.
In an interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, Zola reassured the public that Lil Win is doing well. Despite the incident, Lil Win was able to walk himself and even attend the premiere of his movie “A Country Called Ghana” with his head bandaged.
Additionally, Zola mentioned that Lil Win and his team are in contact with the family of the passengers in the other vehicle who are currently receiving medical treatment.
The accident occurred on May 25, 2024, while Lil Win was on a radio tour promoting his latest movie. Both Lil Win and the passengers involved in the accident were rushed to the Accident and Emergency Unit of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi.
It is fortunate that Lil Win came out of the incident relatively unscathed and is currently recovering. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of road safety and being cautious while driving, even in busy areas.
