The National Theatre of Ghana has pledged its support to dancer Afronitaaa following her impressive performance at the Britain’s Got Talent auditions. Executive Director, Amy Frimpong, expressed the Theatre’s commitment to providing facilities for Afronitaaa to enhance her skills and assist other professionals in the field of dance.
During a meeting with Afronitaaa and her protégé, Abigail Adjiri, who received a standing ovation from the judges and audience at the audition, Mrs. Frimpong emphasized the National Theatre’s role in supporting Ghanaian talent in the performing arts. The Minister-designate for Tourism, Arts, and Culture, Andrew Egyapa Mercer, also commended Afronitaaa for representing Ghana on the global stage and pledged support for the creative arts industry.
Afronitaaa, a Level 300 student at the University of Ghana, runs her own dance academy and trains young dancers. Her performance with Abigail on Britain’s Got Talent was praised by judges as “world-class” and one of the best auditions of the year. The duo received high praise for their choreography and bold display of talent.
The National Theatre reiterated its commitment to nurturing and promoting Ghanaian talent in the performing arts and welcomed all professionals in the field to utilize its facilities and support.
