Endurance to represent Ghana at Culture Dance Clash Festival in Germany

The culture of dance has always been deeply rooted in Ghanaian society, evolving to become a significant aspect of modern music. One individual who embodies this cultural essence is Endurance Grand, a member of the prestigious DWP Academy, who is set to represent Ghana at the 2024 Culture Dance Clash Festival in Berlin, Germany.

The Culture Dance Clash Festival is Europe’s largest platform celebrating Black dance cultures. Founded by Prince Ofori and Margarita Bönning-Ofori, this year’s festival marks its 10th anniversary with the theme “Rooted Fruits,” highlighting the importance of recognizing the origins of Black dance cultures.

Since its establishment in 2014, the festival has aimed to elevate dance culture as a vital societal component, emphasizing the significance of acknowledging the roots of Black dance traditions. Scheduled for the 15th to the 20th of May, this year’s festival will feature classes, workshops, and the highly anticipated Culture Dance Clash battles.

Endurance Grand, known for her dynamic dance skills and infectious energy, will serve as a judge and speaker at the festival. She will host an Afropop workshop and join the panel of esteemed judges for the dance battles, alongside professional dancer and choreographer, Craig Black Eagle.

As a renowned dancer and choreographer, Endurance has garnered recognition both locally and internationally for her innovative routines. Her role as a judge at the festival will provide a unique cultural perspective and expertise in evaluating performances from various dance groups, enriching the overall event experience.

Moreover, Endurance Grand will lead engaging discussions at the Afropop workshop, sharing her knowledge and experiences on Afropop and its distinct dance styles with festival attendees. Her presence as a speaker will facilitate cultural exchange and mutual learning among participants and fellow speakers, fostering a collaborative and enriching environment at the festival.
