She narrated how her husband was absent during crucial moments of childbirth and even proposed for her to have an abortion due to financial constraints.
Despite her resistance and determination to keep the child, Obaa Cee faced continued abandonment, leading to financial struggles and emotional distress as a single mother.
The final blow came when she was informed of her divorce just 40 days after giving birth, leaving her devastated.
Obaa Cee shared, “When I met him, I knew no other man. He was the one who took my virginity. We dated for four years before welcoming our first child. At the time of our marriage, he resided in Asafo while I lived with my mother in Krofrom, both suburbs of Kumasi. I was around 23 years old when we began this journey.”
Now, happily married to a Ghanaian based in the United States for fourteen years, Obaa Cee reflects on her journey and the support she has found in her current husband.
Despite the challenges she faced in her past marriage, Obaa Cee has found happiness and stability in her current relationship.
