Popular Kumawood actor, Joseph Osei, also known as Wayoosi, has publicly declared his support for John Dramani Mahama’s presidential campaign in the upcoming 2024 elections.
Wayoosi commended Mahama’s track record of developmental projects, highlighting the impact of initiatives like the Kejetia Market in Kumasi as a testament to Mahama’s commitment to business growth.
In an interview, the actor urged Ghanaians to vote for Mahama to address economic challenges and continue the progress made during his previous term in office.
The 2024 elections will see Mahama going head-to-head against Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and other candidates, with the vote scheduled for December 7, 2024.
“I would be thrilled to see Mahama become president again. Apart from his personal contributions, his proposed 24-hour economy strategy shows great promise, considering his past achievements,” Wayoosi expressed.
“Look at the impressive Kejetia market in the Ashanti Region; his four years in office were marked by dedicated efforts. Isn’t that reason enough to give him another term?” he added.
The actor’s endorsement adds to the growing support for Mahama’s candidacy as the country gears up for a hotly contested election later this year.
