Actor and comedian Funny Face has been granted bail in the amount of GH¢120,000 by a District Court in Kasoa. This decision came after he was remanded for injuring five people in an accident at Kakraba in Kasoa.
According to reports from JoyNews’ legal affairs correspondent, Richard Kojo Nyarko, the prosecution provided an update on the health status of the victims during the hearing on Tuesday, April 9. Four of the victims have been discharged from the hospital, while one victim who was initially in critical condition is now on the path to recovery.
Funny Face will be released from custody once he meets the bail conditions, allowing him to await further legal proceedings.
The accident, which occurred on the evening of Sunday, March 24 in Kakraba, Kasoa, involved Funny Face hitting five people, including a mother with two children, with his car. At the time of the incident, one victim fell into a coma, while the others received treatment at the Winneba Trauma Centre.
The actor and comedian faced charges of drunk driving and careless driving before being put before the court on Tuesday, March 26. Following two weeks in police custody, Funny Face was granted bail to continue his legal journey.
