Ghanaian rapper Medikal has taken steps to move forward following his public announcement of his separation from his wife.
One of the actions he has taken is covering up the tattoo he had gotten in honor of actress Fella Makafui a few years ago.
In May 2020, Medikal and Fella Makafui had gotten sentimental matching ‘couples tattoos’ shortly after their wedding.
These tattoos depicted half of a lion’s face on each of their arms, which when linked together formed a complete image. Underneath Medikal’s tattoo, he had inked his ex-wife’s name along with his daughter Island’s name.
However, in a recent post on Snapchat, Medikal revealed that he had redone the tattoo, completely concealing Fella Makafui’s name. Now, next to a bold black rectangle covering the previous ink, is his daughter’s name alongside half of the lion’s face.
This comes after Medikal announced the end of their four-year-old marriage on Twitter on Saturday, March 30. He indicated that they are now co-parents to their daughter, Island.
Fella Makafui, in response, blocked Medikal on Twitter and the duo have also unfollowed each other on Instagram. The actress has also removed the title ‘Mrs Frimpong’ from her Instagram bio, signaling the end of their relationship.
