Mickey Gooch Jr. is a well-known American actor, producer, and writer born and raised in New Jersey, who now resides in Los Angeles.
Though he may not have an extensive list of films under his belt, he is recognized for his role in “How To Be Single” alongside actress Rebel Wilson, with whom he had a brief relationship.
Aside from his appearance in “How To Be Single,” Mickey has also starred in films such as “The Clapper,” “Madness In The Method,” “Deported,” and “Bill & Ted Face The Future.” In addition to his acting career, Mickey has worked as an executive producer on films like “Night Shift” and “Rise.”
Mickey, the son of multimillionaire banker Michael Gooch, founder of the $700 million GFI Group, was in a relationship with Rebel Wilson back in 2015. The pair were introduced by Rebel’s “Pitch Perfect” co-star, Hana Mae Lee, and were first publicly linked after attending a New York Rangers game together.
Their romance lasted for just four months, with reports indicating that Rebel decided to end the relationship due to Mickey’s struggles with drug addiction. Mickey, who has been to rehab 17 times, had a troubling addiction to alcohol and various hardcore drugs. Rebel gave him a year to stay sober, but they ultimately went their separate ways.
While Mickey has since kept a low profile, he was in a short-lived romance with “Love Island” star Georgia Harrison in 2019.
Currently, it is unclear if Mickey is in a relationship. In her 2024 memoir, “Rebel Rising,” Rebel Wilson opened up about her relationship with Mickey, revealing that he was the person she lost her virginity to at age 35.
Despite their past romantic involvement, Rebel and Mickey have remained friends, with Mickey even referring to her as “the most beautiful girl I know, inside and out.”
Mickey’s relationship with Rebel may be a thing of the past, but his work in the entertainment industry continues to be recognized.
