The highly anticipated spin-off of Vanderpump Rules, Vanderpump Villa, made its debut on April 1, 2024, much to the excitement of fans. Alongside the iconic Lisa Vanderpump are a cast of fresh faces, including the talented executive chef, Anthony Bar.
Anthony Bar, a French chef, honed his culinary skills at Michel Servet in Lille, France, where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in culinary arts. Influenced by the late celebrity chef Joël Robuchon, Anthony developed a deep love for cooking and paid tribute to his mentor in a heartfelt social media post.
After establishing himself as a chef in France, Anthony ventured to the United States to share his talent abroad. He worked as an executive chef at La Maison in Houston, Texas, before making the move to Los Angeles, California, to join the team at Clifton’s Cafeteria. Describing himself as a “nomad chef,” Anthony traveled the world showcasing his culinary expertise before returning to France to star in Vanderpump Villa.
During the premiere of the show, Anthony expressed his gratitude for the opportunity, stating that Vanderpump Villa is a testament to the power of collaboration in transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary.
Prior to his role on Vanderpump Villa, Anthony Bar appeared on the Hulu reality cooking series Secret Chef in 2023. Despite being eliminated after the first episode, Anthony’s talent and passion for cooking shone through.
Vanderpump Villa premiered exclusively on Hulu, with three episodes available upon its release and new episodes airing every Monday until May 20. The show follows Lisa Vanderpump’s hand-selected staff as they navigate the decadence and debauchery of an exclusive French estate, Chateau Rosabelle.
