Amanda Serrano fans were left disappointed as the star had to withdraw from a highly-anticipated fight against Nina Meinke in Puerto Rico.

The fight was set to take place at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico Jose Miguel Agrelot in San Juan, but just moments before the fight, Serrano had to pull out due to an eye injury caused by a chemical during a hair appointment. This news was devastating for both Serrano and her fans.

The fight cancellation was announced by Jake Paul, who was also on the fight card. Paul informed the audience that ticket sales totaling £1.1 million would be refunded following the cancellation. Serrano was visibly emotional as she left the venue.

Nakisa Bidarian, Paul’s business partner, shed more light on the reason for Serrano’s withdrawal. He explained that a chemical had accidentally entered Serrano’s eye during a hair appointment, leading to the eye injury. Despite seeking medical advice and trying to make her comfortable to fight, Serrano was deemed unfit to enter the ring by the commission’s medical doctors.

Serrano later took to social media to express her regret and promised fans full refunds for the event. She also announced that her opponent, Nina Meinke, would receive 100% of her purse.

Amanda Serrano is a professional boxer, wrestler, and mixed martial artist born in Carolina, Puerto Rico. She has received numerous accolades, including the Female Boxer of the Year Award in 2016 and 2018. Serrano’s older sister, Cindy, is also a professional boxer, and the pair made history by holding world titles simultaneously.

Despite not competing against each other, Serrano and Paul have a professional relationship that has seen Serrano rise to new heights in her career.
