Kevin Hart, the beloved actor and comedian, recently went viral after rumors spread on social media claiming that he had been arrested.
However, these claims are not true and the much-loved actor remains innocent. It turns out that another man who shares the same name as Kevin Hart is the one who has actually been arrested, not the famous comedian.
Who is Kevin Hart?
Kevin Hart is one of America’s most popular comedians and actors. Born on July 6, 1979 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Hart broke into stand-up comedy and won several competitions prior to starring in film and television. Following his breakthrough in a recurring role on the 2011 TV series Undeclared, Hart has since enjoyed huge success in a number of high-grossing films such as Ride Along, Get Hard, and Central Intelligence.
He’s also starred in The Secret Life of Pets film franchise and the Jumanji film franchise, while his comedic reputation has continued to grow with the release of five stand-up albums. In 2015, he was named on Time magazine’s list of the 100 most influential people in the world.
In 2017, he launched the Laugh Out Loud Network, a subscription video streaming service in partnership with Canadian-American company Lionsgate. Hart was previously married to Torrei Hart between 2003-2011, who he shares two children with. The comedian then tied the knot with his second wife, Eniko Parrish, in 2016, and they also share two children together. According to Celebrity Net Worth, Hart’s total fortune stands at $450 million.
Why is ‘Kevin Hart arrested’ trending?
Kevin Hart’s arrest is trending because someone with the same name has been charged with murder. Another man named Kevin Hart, from Central Valley, has been arrested and charged with the murder of 65-year-old Jackie Robinson in Seaside, Super Fest reports. It’s claimed that Hart visited Robinson’s home before allegedly beating her to death.
Understandably so, fans of the comedian Kevin Hart have expressed concerns at the news making its way across social media. But rest assured, the Ride Along star has committed no such crime. However, fans have highlighted the need to distinguish between the accused individual and the renowned entertainer.
But Hart has previously been arrested and this may have also created some confusion online. In April 2013, Hart was charged on suspicion of drink driving after his vehicle collided with a tanker truck on a Southern California freeway. After being pulled over, he failed a sobriety test and was subsequently booked for misdemeanor DUI. Hart was then sentenced to three years of probation after pleading no contest to one count of driving under the influence of alcohol.
