Ganesh ‘Remy’ Ramsaran, a former IBM engineer, is set to speak on the February 16, 2024, episode of Dateline, where he will address his past and the disappearance of his wife, Jennifer Ramsaran.
The couple was living in New Berlin, New York, with their three children before Jennifer went missing.
After contacting the police on December 11, 2012, Ramsaran alleged that Jennifer had not returned after going to Syracuse to run errands. He claimed to have used the Find My iPhone app to track her phone, but Jennifer’s abandoned van was later found, and her body was discovered in February 2013.
Despite maintaining his innocence, Ramsaran was convicted of killing his wife in 2014 and sentenced to 25 years to life in prison. In 2016, he was also convicted for attempting to bribe a correctional officer.
However, he later alleged attorney deception, leading to a new trial in 2022, where he pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of manslaughter and received a reduced sentence of 22 years in prison.
Ramsaran is currently serving his sentence at the Clinton Correctional Facility in New York State, where he has waived his right to appeal following his guilty plea in 2023.
