US President Joe Biden has fiercely criticized an investigation into his handling of classified files, which cast doubt on his memory. He called a surprise news briefing to respond to the investigation’s findings, stating, “My memory is fine.”
The investigation by Special Counsel Robert Hur concluded that there would be no charges brought against Mr. Biden for mishandling files. However, it did make scathing remarks about the president’s memory, suggesting it had “significant limitations.”
In response, Mr. Biden declared that, despite his age, he was the most qualified person to be president. He also referenced his interviews with the special counsel, stating that he was preoccupied with handling an international crisis at the time of the investigation.
Additionally, Mr. Biden’s age has become a top concern for voters as the November’s presidential election approaches.
During the news conference, Mr. Biden also made a mix-up when commenting on the Gaza war, referring to the presidents of Mexico and Egypt.
The investigation and subsequent comments made by Mr. Biden have sparked further debate and concern about his ability to lead as the President of the United States.
