The family of the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, known as Mohbad, has refuted claims that they are threatening the life of his wife, Wunmi Aloba. Wunmi had previously expressed concerns that her father-in-law’s people were planning to harm her and her son, leading her to seek safety away from her home.
However, a law firm representing Mohbad’s family, Hillceetee Partners, has stated that there is no truth to Wunmi’s allegations. They have challenged her to provide the telephone numbers or identities of those who have threatened her life.
In a statement, the law firm emphasized the need for evidence to substantiate these claims, stating that without specific names and evidence, it is baseless to make such serious accusations. They also addressed Wunmi’s concerns about receiving strange phone calls, urging her to work with the Nigerian Police to identify the callers.
The family’s legal representation also highlighted that they have no reason to threaten or bully Wunmi, emphasizing their commitment to seeking justice for the late singer. They further emphasized that their comments and encouragement to Wunmi to speak out about her husband’s death should not be misconstrued as a threat.
The law firm concluded their statement by reiterating their dedication to pursuing the truth about Mohbad’s death and expressing their hope that justice will be served.
