The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has called on Ghanaians to vote for him as the next president to give him the mandate to implement policies that will lead to the growth of the country.
Addressing the nation in Accra on Wednesday, February 7, the Vice President stated that he has learned valuable lessons from the seven years of the Akufo-Addo government and has reviewed his visions for the country.
He emphasized that if he is elected as President, he will have the constitutional authority to pursue his vision and priorities for the country.
Dr Bawumia assured that he would create a government that accommodates everyone, tapping into the talents and resourcefulness of Ghanaians from diverse backgrounds.
The Vice President promised to create sustainable jobs with meaningful pay for all, and ensure Ghana’s full participation in the fourth industrial revolution using modern systems and data.
He also outlined his plans to implement policies such as abolishing the e-levy, making Ghana a cashless society, cutting government expenditure, and implementing a new tax regime if elected as President.
Dr Bawumia’s vision is to build a self-sufficient, safe, prosperous, and dignified future for all Ghanaians.
He reiterated his commitment to creating a government that embraces diversity and inclusivity, working towards a brighter future for the nation.
