Finance Minister Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam has announced plans to crack down on corrupt activities at port facilities across Ghana. This decision follows numerous reports alleging corrupt practices among port officials.

Dr. Amin Adam has personally witnessed some of these corrupt activities and is determined to address them to minimize their impact on the country’s revenue generation. In a recent statement, he expressed concern about the high level of corruption perception in the ports and its adverse effects on revenue and critical projects in the country.

The Finance Minister has pledged to visit the ports along with other officials to engage and assess the situation firsthand. He emphasized the need for the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) to collaborate with other key sectors of the economy to combat corrupt practices and improve revenue collection.
