Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has promised to implement policies and incentives to encourage private sector investment in tourism, creative arts, and sports.
The goal is to create more job opportunities in the country through increased investments in these areas.
Speaking to Ghanaians in Accra on Wednesday, February 7, Dr. Bawumia emphasized his focus on boosting private and public investment in tourism, creative arts, and sports.
He mentioned that steps will be taken to create a conducive environment for private individuals to invest in these industries.
Furthermore, the Vice President also highlighted his intention to build on the success of initiatives like the Year of Return, Beyond the Return, and December in Ghana. He aims to introduce digital and streaming platforms for artists to further promote tourism and the creative arts in the country.
Additionally, Dr. Bawumia announced that tax incentives will be provided to film producers and musicians to incentivize their contributions to the creative arts industry.
These pledges from the NPP flagbearer demonstrate a commitment to harnessing the potential of the tourism, creative arts, and sports sectors to drive economic growth and create employment opportunities for Ghanaians.
