Former Oti Regional Minister, Joshua Makubu, expressed surprise at his removal from office, as no concerns were raised about his performance during his tenure.
Makubu shared his thoughts two weeks after his removal, stating that he was taken aback when the President informed him that he could no longer be part of the government after the ministerial reshuffle on February 14th.
Following his removal, some residents in the Oti Region commended President Akufo-Addo for the ministerial reshuffle.
They believe that the removal of Makubu as Oti Regional Minister will create equal opportunities for others to serve and contribute to the development of the region.
President Akufo-Addo recently relieved several Ministers and Deputy Ministers of their portfolios to strengthen governance. In this reshuffle, Makubu was replaced by Daniel Machator.
The move to replace Makubu has generated various reactions from the public, with some residents praising the decision for providing a fresh perspective and leadership in the region.
