One of the key components of the Digital Ghana vision is to increase internet penetration to close to 100% and to train thousands of youth per year on digital software skills.

Dr. Bawumia envisions building the digital talents required for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, including providing digital and software skills to hundreds of thousands of youth, in collaboration with the private sector.

In addition, the vision includes an enhanced focus on Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) education, support for the establishment of a National Open University, and a rethinking of the national service scheme to help youth secure jobs.

He revealed plans to make coding and robotics standard in senior high school and provide laptops to SHS and tertiary students.

Lastly, Dr. Bawumia stressed the importance of encouraging a mindset of possibilities in Ghana, emphasizing the need to inculcate a can-do spirit and mindset of possibilities in the Ghanaian people.

He cited examples of Ghanaian students winning international robotic competitions and stressed the need to apply the same mindset of beating the world in various spheres of activity.

Dr. Bawumia’s vision for a Digital Ghana aims to position the country for inclusive economic growth, create job opportunities for the youth, and foster a mindset of possibilities among Ghanaians. If implemented, these policies and initiatives could propel Ghana towards becoming a leader in the digital revolution.
