The Ghana Police Service’s Criminal Investigation Department (CID) is currently investigating a tragic incident at Aburi Girls Senior High School.
The Eastern Regional Minister, Seth Kwame Acheampong, confirmed that a first-year student of the school passed away after allegedly being denied medical attention by the school nurse.
Following an engagement with school authorities, the Regional Minister expressed his understanding of the sensitivity of the matter and emphasized the need for law enforcement agencies to investigate the circumstances surrounding the student’s passing. He also called for calm amidst the social media uproar, stating that investigations are underway, and the sanctity of the institution will be maintained.
