A Chinese national serving a one-year jail term for theft at the Nsawam Prison has escaped while receiving medical attention at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra.
The inmate, Wang Xiao, was reported sick and required dental care outside the prison walls. He was being escorted by prison officers when he managed to escape.
