The organizers of the Ghana Party in the Park, Akwaaba UK, have revealed the first set of performers for the upcoming 2024 edition of the event.
Headlining the event for the first time will be Ghanaian artists Wendy Shay, King Paluta, and Olive the Boy. They will be joined by other talented acts such as KiDi, Lasmid, Tulenkey, A Kmot, and the dance group DWP Academy. More artists are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
This year’s Ghana Party in the Park, known as the largest Ghanaian outdoor event in the United Kingdom, will be held at a new location, Oak Hill Park in Barnet, on July 13, 2024.
The event is anticipated to draw music enthusiasts from all walks of life, offering them a taste of the vibrant Ghanaian culture.
CEO of Akwaaba UK, Dennis Tawiah, expressed his excitement for the festival, stating, “Akwaaba UK has a track record of organizing top-notch international events for the African community and beyond. We are thrilled to present the 20th edition of the Ghana Party in the Park and promise attendees a magical experience.”
Tawiah hinted at more artist announcements and surprise appearances leading up to the festival, urging support from relevant state agencies, private entities, and industry stakeholders in Ghana and the UK to ensure the success of this year’s event.
